Wow, what a crazy woman. I can never understand people who are making a lot of money and keep it all to themselves. Why not just pay your taxes and stuff, go about life in the honest way and then enjoy your retirement?

I 100% agree with you although it doesn't surprise me at all! In my boys school they banned masks last year. When I asked why, I got the lame response "because it scares some of the children".....duh, it's Halloween, that's the point isn't it?

My youngest hated fireworks and balloons when he was younger. The solution was to not take him to a bonfire party and avoid McDonalds with balloons. Why should somewhere like McDonalds pamper to my one child....it's just one of those things!

All this cosseting children makes for unstable adults that won't be able cope with the challenges that life WILL throw at them!

A good protest would be for the parents to dress their children as Stuart Little with joke axe through his head or a Cat in the Hat zombie! But hey, I hate having to conform ;)

I agree there is some fulfillment in helping others but c'mon, nothing beats the fulfillment you experience when playing music.

Get back to the drums... NOW!

I really enjoyed TMZs coverage of Lindsay Lohan in court yesterday. She was falling apart. I kinda felt sad for her.

This totally reminds me of the movie when FOX bookstore killed the local bookstore. It happens. Unfortunetely, in reality it is the local people who either kill or keep the little guys around by where they spend their money.

But at the same time, we have to be realistic. You can’t blast Bed, Bath & Beyond then buy your cake at Safeway. You can’t call Barnes & Noble anti-community when every seat in the store is filled with neighborhood shoppers spending a Friday evening there. You also can’t lump all suburban areas like Walnut Creek, where I happen to live, into the enemy camp. After all, most independent bookstores across the country serve these same suburban areas (Walnut Creek has several independents as well as chains). Finally, you can’t put yourself on your own high horse of intellectualism (because I have also lived in Cambridge, and Berkeley: you’re no Cambridge).
